Every week during the 2022 NFL season, we take a look at the early line movements in the NFL and try to make sense of them. Here are some of the NFL’s biggest line moves so far for Week 6:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Opening Line: TB -7.5

Current Line: TB -9.5

The Bucs beat the Atlanta Falcons 21-15 last week. The Bucs could have easily lost the game if not for a controversial roughing the passer call.

The Bucs moved to 3-2 after the win, but this team has not looked the same as previous Bucs teams quarterbacked by Tom Brady.

The Steelers got destroyed by the Bills last week 38-3. This was rookie QB Kenny Pickett’s first start, but the story ended up being the injuries on defense that the Steelers accrued during the game vs the Bills.

Bettors seem to be betting that Tom Brady is going to be able to carve up a Steelers defense that will be missing nearly their entire starting secondary.

Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs

Opening Line: pk

Current Line: Bills -2.5 ( -115)

As we mentioned in the previous game in this article, the Bills routed the Steelers last week 38-3. QB Josh Allen continued to play like the front runner for league MVP.

The Chiefs came back from an early 0-17 deficit and beat the Las Vegas Raiders last week 30-29. The Chiefs were led by their dynamic duo of Patrick Mahomes & Travis Kelce.

Both teams are 4-1 on the year, but the Bills have been the more dominant team. This is a revenge spot for the Bills, as the Chiefs beat them last year in the playoffs to end their season. The line movement seems to reflect bettors backing the Josh Allen revenge tour in this one.
