Every week during the 2022 NFL season, we take a look at the early line movements in the NFL and try to make sense of them. Here are some of the NFL’s biggest line moves so far for Week 8:

Denver Broncos @ Jacksonville Jaguars (LONDON)

Opening Line: Jags -4

Current Line: Jags -2.5

The Jaguars played a very competitive game last week vs the NY Giants, but they ultimately lost that game 23-17. The Jags' young stars, QB Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne, seem to be improving every week. In fact, it appears the Jags are ready to completely turn over RB duties to Etienne, as they traded back-up RB James Robinson last week to the NY Jets.

The Denver Broncos lost to the New York Jets last week 16-9. The Broncos offense continues to underperform, and it was no different last week with backup QB Brett Rypien under center. Star QB Russell Wilson traveled with the team to London, and has been participating in practice. So, it looks like Wilson is going to play.

Russell Wilson is one of the cheesiest players in the history of the NFL, but there is little doubt that he is an upgrade over Brett Rypien. This is an easy line move to explain: bettors are backing Denver with Wilson at QB.

Tennessee Titans @ Houston Texans

Opening Line: Ten -4

Current Line: Ten -2.5

The Titans took on their AFC Central rival the Indianapolis Colts last week, and they won 19-10. The Titans played well off their bye week, but starting QB Ryan Tannehill injured his ankle.

The Houston Texans lost a lopsided affair to the Las Vegas Raiders last week 38-20, bringing their record to 1-4-1 on the season. The season appears to be a lost cause, and the Texans are looking to trade some of their star players away in order to prepare for the future.

This line move can be attributed to the Titans injury situation, most notably QB Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill has not practiced this week, so the Titans may start rookie backup QB Malik Willis this week.
